Vibeno Astro - Privacy Policy

This page explains how Vibeno Astro ("we", "us") handles data when you use our astrology / astrocartography tools connected to ChatGPT.

This policy only covers the external service we operate at astro.vibeno.net. Your use of ChatGPT itself is covered by OpenAI's own terms and privacy policies.

1. Who we are

Vibeno Astro is a personal/experimental project that provides astrology and astrocartography calculations via an API.

2. What data we receive

When a Custom GPT uses our API on your behalf, we may receive:

• Birth data: date, time, and place of birth (city, country).
• Location data: cities/places you ask to compare (for astrocartography).
• Timing data: dates and times for "cosmic weather" / transit calculations.
• Technical information: standard server logs (IP address, request time, user agent) needed to operate and secure the service.

We do not intentionally collect names, email addresses, or other identifiers from your ChatGPT conversation. However, if you include personal info inside prompts that are forwarded to our API, it may appear in our logs.

3. How we use the data

We use the data only to:

• Calculate natal charts, transits, house systems, and location-based (astrocartography-style) information.
• Operate, monitor, and secure the API (e.g. debug errors, prevent abuse).
• Improve the accuracy and performance of the service (e.g. caching or analyzing aggregated usage).

We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers.

4. Legal basis (EU / GDPR)

For users in the EU/EEA, our main legal bases are:

• Consent - when you or your ChatGPT session choose to send data to our API; and
• Legitimate interest - to operate and secure the service (e.g. short-term logging, rate limiting).

5. How long we keep data

• Server logs (IP, timestamps, request metadata) are typically kept for a limited period for security and debugging, and then deleted or anonymized.
• Derived astrological results may be stored in aggregated or anonymized form for analytics and performance improvements.

We do not build long-term profiles of individual users based on their birth data.

6. Sharing with third parties

We may share data only with:

• Our hosting / infrastructure providers (for example, server or database hosting), under appropriate data protection terms.
• Authorities if we are legally required to do so.

We do not share your data with advertisers or unrelated third parties.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or a similar jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction or deletion;
• Object to or restrict processing.

Because we generally do not know who you are (data arrives via ChatGPT and is not tied to your real identity), we may ask you to provide enough information (e.g. approximate timestamps and cities used) to locate relevant logs.

8. Relationship with OpenAI / ChatGPT

When you use this Custom GPT, your prompts and content are also processed by OpenAI under its own terms and privacy policies. We do not control how OpenAI stores or uses that data.
